  • Cartagena

I was there for one week and stayed in Bocagrande, about a 10 minute taxi ride from the Walled City. Pros of Cartagena: Inexpensive locale, reliable and fast internet, good weather (if you like it hot), not terribly crowded (aside from Walled City), beauty/history/nightlife of Walled City. Cons: Local beaches are average at best and riddled with vendors who accost visitors non-stop, street vendors are less pushy but everywhere, fluency in Spanish is very helpful (not really a con, just is),

I have only been to a couple of digital nomad spots around the world, but I must say I have been disappointed with PDC for several reasons. I am a coworking space kind of girl and even though there are a few here, they are all not great. Especially if you compare them to the spaces in Bali Canggu/Ubud for example. In PDC it was all about choosing the lesser โ€ževilโ€œ for me. They are okay, but I didnโ€˜t feel the same community vibes or very inspired in these places. The choices of healthy foo

Panama reminds me of the booming southeast asian capitals of bangkok, singapore, manila or kuala lumpur, filled with condos and malls. It is clean, the weather is warm but not humid. Internet speed is fast and reliable, all the conveniences of the city is available here. But aside from that, theres not much else to do here unless you enjoy the malls, eating out and going to the pubs. The only thing that you need to get used to is the roads do not have pedestrian lanes, although cars always prior

Tirana is modern, walkable and seems to have good nightlife while feeling safe (lot of kids, families and women walking around at night). But it is also very crowded of people and cars, there is a lot of garbage and inpleasant smells. I would defenitly prefer the coastal area for a longer stay

Soooo underrated city, it's not so calm at least the old town with all those bars competing to see which one plays the loudest music and in general the crazy traffic and that cars burnouts at 3am. But aside of that it's a wonderful city, with lot of things to do, lot's of places to go and very affordable prices. I was there for 3 weeks in July and surprisingly it's warmer than Barcelona and safer, and airbnb prices are really good. I enjoyed trying food and walking the city, I like to work from

  • Skopje

Skopje is certainly an interesting place to see, but where you shouldn't spend too much time. You can start here and take a trip around the country, as there are several places worth seeing. The city is safe, the air quality is very low and it does not get too cold in winter (though it does get cold). There isn't much to do, plus I visited the city during the time of the pandemic, which made it worse for socializing. Cheap prices and great Internet connection, even on the road between cities.

I have been living in Porto since September. Portugal is currently in a hard covid lockdown so Porto is not at its best. But in better times the city is amazing. Beautiful, right near the beach, with excellent air and rail connectivity. English is widely spoken and the accommodations for visitors are diverse and excellent. Restaurants are also diverse and excellent. Prices for those used to northern Europe or USA will seem low. December, January are very rainy and can get cold, down to nearly 0
