Bangkok is a really nice city. I lived 2 weeks in Bangkok and it was a good trip ! People are very nice, smiling and the cost is affordable. Some beautifuls temple, gardens, market etc. Chinatown is a place to visit, and Bangkok is globally clean !

I'm currently in Lisbon and I must say that this city has been very overhyped in terms of cost, food and overall fun. There are a lot of issues where foreigners like myself are driving up the rent and we are solely blamed for this. The larger issue here is the Portuguese government is not using these tourism dollars towards their people. I'm staying in Alfama and there is 'fuck tourists' spray painted in a few places but in order to come and stay here we are being asked to provide our informatio

Porto was like a scaled down Lisbon (I swear they are trying to copy it down to the cable car). Lots to do but manageable walking wise. I walked everywhere and always found stuff to do. Bars and clubs are focused in one main area so everything is just easier. The architecture is wonderful and the people are nice. I'd like to see the city in summer as it's just on the wrong side of comfortable and it rained quite a bit (I was there in December). Dog poo is seemingly an issue generally in Portugal

I've been hanging out in Berlin on and off for 30 years. It is very safe for women. It is much friendlier than it used to be. There are loads of vegan restaurants now. The nightlife and specially jazz clubs are amazing! I have an excellent apartment to rent out in Wedding - which used to have a boring reputation but now is very cool.

Stayed for 2 weeks after almost a year n a half in LatAm. Beautiful city; great food options- especially for Asian food lovers. Plenty of authentic Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese options for about 50% of what you would pay in a Western city. Decent hostels will cost $11-$15 weekdays and between $18-$30 on weekends.... Good internet; beautiful architecture and people but it is true Hungarians can be very cold at times. Overall a good stay with many destinations just a quick and cheap flight/tr

Incredible city for nomads. In autumn/winter you'll have to deal with the cold, but there's still stuff going on. - Using the tram and uber was rare. Stay in Kazimierz or Stare Miasto and you get anywhere interesting in

Dear travelers, I'm from Istanbul. I can provide you some guidance. Istanbul is a fairly advanced metropolis in terms of transportation, to start. Don't limit yourself to staying in motels near old mosques. You may also like locations in the city's north like Saryer and Beykoz. You may get an Istanbul city card for 6 liras, and with the remaining $20 you load onto it, you can ride the bus 35โ40 times. Even if months pass, your money on the card will not be lost. In actuality, the Taksim distri

I visited Prague on more than one occasion and tried something new each time. I really wanted to enjoy it, but unfortunately it turned out to be one of my least favourite cities. Perhaps it was just me, but there was an overwhelming sense of distrust and dislike towards foreigners, you have to try pretty hard to blend in if you want to experience the life of a local & avoid the tourism. I met some wonderful people and and thereโs some cool communities to be part of, but another extended stay

I studied in Aberdeen for a year and loved living there. The city has charm and is very walkable. It was easy to meet people from the university and through my student accommodation but could see it being difficult if you aren't attending university. It wasn't too expensive coming from the US and was manageable on a student budget. It is easy to catch a train to explore nearby cities. The train ride from Edinburgh to Aberdeen is very scenic and shows a cliffside view for the majority of the ride

Very bad place to visit right now. The country is in a time of political and civil unrest, with mass protests closing down airports, train stations, and roads since early December 2022 (it is now mid January 2023). Tourists have had to be evacuated. The train to Machu Picchu is indefinitely closed until further notice. 48 people have died in the conflicts so far. Peru, and Cusco in particular, is a beautiful place with amazing things to see - but right now is not the time to visit.

December 2022: Nairobi is a city less walkable than Bangkok, worse infrastructure than the Eastern European province, a non-service culture that would rival Germany, WiFi & 3G/4G like in rural Kyrgyzstan (the kind of where you walk with your phone in your stretched out hand)โฆ. All of that you get for almost US-level prices. Nah, I didnโt have a good time. It feels utterly derelict and careless. Zero things to do except paying through your nose for Safari stuff. This guide is UTTERLY WRONG. $3.300 per month!? You can rent a room as cheap as 200โฌ (erasmus rooms), 1beer costs usually under 2โฌ and has a free 'Tapa' - normally when I go out, with 5โฌ I've eaten and drank enough. Coworkings cost somewhere from 70-120โฌ depending if part time or full time. Then you can go almost anywhere around walking, and by bus to the mountains. Compared to Berlin, the Internet is much faster and cheaper. Simyo has 20โฌ prepaid cards that give you 60GB data x month.

I absolutely love living in this city. It's very clean, safe and things generally always work! This is something I miss when I travel to other cities in Europe and rest of the world. Also co-working spaces are growing tons. Though night life might be pretty "boring", it truly is what you make it. Get to know other expats and friends through meetups or friend of a friend, and you'll have an awesome time here!

Stayed here for 2 weeks to get back some Schengen days and had a really nice time! Not the MOST exciting city in the world, but certainly a lovely place to stay and take it easy for a couple days or weeks and get some work done. My favorite part of the city was the canals that run through certain parts, they were really pretty and added a lot of character and there were oftentimes bars/restaurants along the water or trails for running/walking/biking. There are a lot of good restaurants and bars,

How the f is this city in the #1 spot for europe? Is the Warsaw city council paying for the spot? I spent a month here mostly to help during the ukraine refugee crisis. This was the most meh city I've visited in my life. People are incredibly cold. They have this attitude (I was about to write slavic, but actually I've been to other slavic countries and they've been really friendly, so I don't want to bunch them together) kind of a cold indifference, but you can never tell if they're purposeful
