Don't go thinking it's another Chiang Mai, because it doesn`t. Instead, Chiang Rai is much smaller and simple, not so much to see and do --forget about nighlife, just relax and get the work done. I guess if you're a nomad this doesn't matter much, but the long-term job pickings here are slim and among the most underpaid for a US city. I only stayed for 3 weeks cause the life is kind of boring compared to Tokyo or Osaka. It helps a lot if you speak some korean since not many people speak english and most restaurants don't have english menu. The internet is fast but the public transportation is always crowded.

Nice place to live, but for travel not sure. Things are very expensive if you want to stay in a hotel and eat out most of the time. Price for cafe is not that crazy but still not the reasonable. Not many fun places to go as a traveler. But if you have a place you can cook by yourself, have some friends to hang out, and enjoy simple and quite lifestyle, then I do recommend to come Stockholm. I'm enjoying a peaceful and calm daily life here!

I don't know exactly how Barcelona is still considered safe but it's far from it. It's probably the most dangerous city to live in Madrid and one of the most dangerous in europe, with constant pick-pocketing and even violent crimes to get your wallet and phone in certain areas. If you like a peaceful life, Barcelona is not the place anymore!!
