Granada is beautiful and cheap. It has 3-4 distinct areas that are so wonderful to explore. Granada is a traditional Spanish town, in that when you order a drink you will get a plate of tapas along with it. So 3 rounds and 3 plates later, you've had dinner. The people are great and super nice. As a native English speaker, there are less speaking English than a larger city like Madrid, but basic Spanish is just fine to get around in most settings. I can't recommend Granada enough, it's one of the

  • Bogota

I've moved here permanently. Kids are in an elite school for $600pm, and I'm the only non-Colombian parent. I'm surprised there aren't more foreigners. Going to Gringo Tuesdays is a very touristy thing, I only ever went once everyone is 25 and trying to get laid basically, and its P$11,000 a beer, my local pub sells beer for $P2,000 by comparison. The longer you are here the more you discover. The "centre" of the city is really from 83rd-93rd-115th roughly, 83rd has loads of great clubs and rest

  • Warsaw

How the f is this city in the #1 spot for europe? Is the Warsaw city council paying for the spot? I spent a month here mostly to help during the ukraine refugee crisis. This was the most meh city I've visited in my life. People are incredibly cold. They have this attitude (I was about to write slavic, but actually I've been to other slavic countries and they've been really friendly, so I don't want to bunch them together) kind of a cold indifference, but you can never tell if they're purposeful

Valencia has it all, good weather, beach, plethora of bars and restaurants, safe environment and great mix of old/modern architecture. It's a very friendly place with an excellent cost/value relationship. It's a stunning base to explore the natural parks and the gorgeous coast in the South. After living in so many digital nomad hotspots over the last 10 years, Valencia is definitely my favorite. Make sure to stay in the nice neighborhood of Ciutat Vella or Gran Via

  • Barcelona

One of the best cities in Europe. Beautiful, wide streets, perfect weather. Huge tech scene & everything you can imagine. Food is next level. You can take the train and in 20 mins you will be in a nice uncrowded beach. The airport is a massive hub to go anywhere. FC Barcelona, huge huge football atmosphere. Tons of beautiful coworkings. Internet is ultra fast. Prices are expensive, but so is everything right now :(
