Stayed for 2 weeks after almost a year n a half in LatAm. Beautiful city; great food options- especially for Asian food lovers. Plenty of authentic Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese options for about 50% of what you would pay in a Western city. Decent hostels will cost $11-$15 weekdays and between $18-$30 on weekends.... Good internet; beautiful architecture and people but it is true Hungarians can be very cold at times. Overall a good stay with many destinations just a quick and cheap flight/tr

I've been to ~70 countries. Porto is my favorite city in the world. The people, the people, the people! It's the perfect size, well connected airport, vibrant and happening, amazing blend of locals and expats, and much cheaper than Lisbon. Looking to call this place home.

I visited Prague on more than one occasion and tried something new each time. I really wanted to enjoy it, but unfortunately it turned out to be one of my least favourite cities. Perhaps it was just me, but there was an overwhelming sense of distrust and dislike towards foreigners, you have to try pretty hard to blend in if you want to experience the life of a local & avoid the tourism. I met some wonderful people and and thereโs some cool communities to be part of, but another extended stay

I cannot help but agree with the review from the person before me. I'm finishing my 3 weeks trip here, and something feels off. Like that person put it rightly, everything is for sale, and nothing has value. There is no soul to this city and its people, locals or otherwise. Something is wrong here.

Chiang Mai used to be N.1 for the digital nomad life. It is still great and you can find really cheap apartments (300-400$) and restaurants (2-3$ for a main). Wouldn't recommend staying there during the burning season. The best area is Nimman, but it's also the most expensive. You can stay in the old city that's very nice but that gets noisy during the weekend for the night markets. Last but not least, very safe city. All in all would go back in a heartbeat.

Like everywhere, Singapore has pros and cons. // Pros: // Everything works very well, it's clean, you can use the trains and transport system with a bank card, Grab taxis are efficient and safe, the airport is amazing // Everyone speaks English // Population seems well educated and cosmopolitan // There are lots of parks and green spaces. // Cons: // It's very expensive. For what you get it feels overpriced compared to most Western countries for example. // It's hot and very, very humid. Unti

Incredible city for nomads. In autumn/winter you'll have to deal with the cold, but there's still stuff going on. - Using the tram and uber was rare. Stay in Kazimierz or Stare Miasto and you get anywhere interesting in

Berlin is overall a great city to be. Food is cheap and everywhere, easy to go out and have fun/meet for business. Rent has crept up but still far better value than where I came from. Internet: 36 EUR/month get me 450/40 mbps (cable -> DOCSIS 3.0) Public transport is 2.70 EUR/ticket. No woman I know has said they felt unsafe. Some really odd, xenophobic sounding comments on here. Biggest downsides IMO: service quality at restaurants - not that people are rude, but they don't seem to particular

A pleasant touristy island which is great for hiking and just traveling around on a car. Funchal isn't a modern city but it's walkable and liveable: there are coworking spaces, decent internet and occasionally you can even find filter coffee.

Honestly, this is an awesome place to be if you're actually trying to get work done. It's a bit of an older vibe than Canggu, and there's certainly a big chunk of yogi's kicking around โ but I liked it much better than Canggu and found it less pretentious. Plus, you can drive down there in 45mins whenever you want some beach or party vibes. As others mentioned, there's some great coworking spaces, cheap warungs, some really nice spots to stay cheaply if you go just outside of the mad tourist

Beautiful island. For me it hits a sweet spot combining some of Canggu and Ubud. There's good stuff like breath work and ecstatic dance close by but you don't have to scooter a whole hour to get there. It's not too hippy and you can easily avoid that vibe if you're not into it. The mountainous landscape makes for some lovely scootering - so nice that I've taken a few rides just for the pleasure of it. The bigger roads are lit at night and pretty good, not much traffic. I absolutely love living in this city. It's very clean, safe and things generally always work! This is something I miss when I travel to other cities in Europe and rest of the world. Also co-working spaces are growing tons. Though night life might be pretty "boring", it truly is what you make it. Get to know other expats and friends through meetups or friend of a friend, and you'll have an awesome time here!

The places to rent are not very good. Poor design and low quality furniture. You won't find one that comes with a good desk and chair. Most of them don't have a good place to put one even if you bring your own. Hard water is common and unpleasant. Can't walk around due to small roads, traffic, sometimes unfriendly stray dogs. It does have good restaurants, lots of variety from many international cuisines. Not that great for Indonesian food though. Probably better for a short visit rather than

Copenhagen is way too expensive. I have lived there for quite some time and although it's has this semi-hipster vibe, it still feels like a big village. It's miserable in the winter because it's so windy and went. There are much better and cheaper options, plus the people can be hard to relate to.

I lived in Central Warsaw on and off for about 1 year pre and post-pandemic. Central Warsaw is the "New York of Eastern Europe". Pros: - Very convenient, safe and clean. - Lots of modern, futuristic buildings. Easy to find nice apartments. - Very bike-able. - Not too expensive. - Lots of coworking spaces. - Some startup culture and quite a few meetups (pre-pandemic). - Polish women are beautiful. - Interesting history. Best city in Spain. Weather is great even in December and the clubbing scene is fun. There's lots to do and it's a beautiful city overall. You have to watch out for pickpockets but as long as you aren't leaving things unattended or obviously in your pockets you'll be fine. If you're into hostels, Hostel One Paralelo is BY FAR the best hostel in the area, worth every penny. Will definitely be back, and I never say that.

Good: - Great local food - Portuguese people are amazingly friendly - Vibrant DN community. It's like the city has been overtaken by remote workers. You will see everyone working on their laptop everywhere you go. - Amazing views whenever you want; you can just get a beer and climb to one of the viewpoints to see the sunset. Easy and magical. - Super cheap Ubers, easy subway Bad: - Housing prices. I'm not kidding, it's the worst I've ever seen. Ultra overpriced. I guess that's the problem when

For anyone who has traveled a lot Mรกlaga will be underwhelming. The weather is AMAZING but the city itself gets boring after 2 days and apart from the historic center most neighborhoods are not pretty to look at. The beaches are not very beautiful. The museums are not impressive and people are not used to digital nomads so if you're not fluent in Spanish it will be nearly impossible to make friends. Amazing, large and accessible beaches. But the vibe is not there yet. It still feels like an "old" vacation place: tons of families, retirees, couples and sex tourists. The hip, young crowd you can find in Canggu for example is not there yet. There is only one decent coworking spot, not a lot of specialty cofee places. Most DNs stay in Rawai, which is OK - just a long street in a non-swimming beach. If you live there you will have to drive 15mins to go to the beach (Nai Han, Kata, etc). The infr
