The Sights, the Sounds, the Scentsโฆ Bangkok Is Beautiful Chaos And A City Of Contrasts!!! You have here: - modern shopping centers & traditional markets - michelin star restaurants & street food - sky trains & tuktuks - skyscrapers & temples - nightlife & culture In my opinion, there is no other city in the world that offers so much diversity. In addition, life there is very cheap compared to other big cities in the world. You can get apartments with a rooftop pool, gym and co-working

7 years ago Lisbon was amazing. Since it became trendy lost what made it unique. I will return when the hype is gone!

Chiang Mai has had a deep Buddhist influence running over the last 1,000 years and this can be felt in the helpfulness, patience and generosity of the Thai and long-term transplants you come across. The city has an active community scene (nomads, spiritual seekers, hikers, creatives), several mountains with hiking spots and waterfalls surrounding the city, over 20 water bodies inside the city -- many have cafes and walks around, several public parks, and over 13 national parks with campgrounds w

I stayed here for 6 months and I absolutely love Mexico City. The life is comfortable if you stay in the bubbles, namely Roma Norte, Condesa and Polanco, but the living cost has increased 30% since last year, due to the inflation and skyrocketing mexican pesos. Mexican people are so friendly and I never had any safety issues. Definitely will be back in the future.

Lived in Prague for 8 years. It's a beautiful international European city. Never learned Czech, but was fine. Almost all cafes and restaurants have English menus. Superb food delivery apps (Wolt is the best). All the food you can imagine. Vietnamese food is world-class because of the huge Vietnamese population. If you want hipster bars and cafes, there's plenty of that. If you want old-world-charm there's plenty of that. If you want posh luxury there's some of Europes best restaurants and cockta

_____TLDR: If you value comfort, don't go to Argentina._____ I stayed for 6 months and, tbh, was really happy to leave. The main problem was that I didn't feel safe, especially at night (nothing happened to me though). I don't think the city is beautiful, yes it has some interesting architecture, especially modernist buildings, but the city itself was organized in an odd way, so it mostly has narrow streets and sidewalks, and latter are covered with dog shit or homeless people stuff. Food is ch

I've been hanging out in Berlin on and off for 30 years. It is very safe for women. It is much friendlier than it used to be. There are loads of vegan restaurants now. The nightlife and specially jazz clubs are amazing! I have an excellent apartment to rent out in Wedding - which used to have a boring reputation but now is very cool.

I stayed in Poblenou, which is a really chill upcoming area outside of the tourism of Barcelona. Really enjoyed it. Very tranquil. People were relatively friendly compared to most in Europe and there was lots of nice food and coffee places. Also pretty okay gyms. Really enjoyed Barcelona this time! Just make sure you stay outside the tourist areas.

Great for a visit. Beautiful scenery. Good food. I thought it would be great to live here, start a startup and be in the same time zone as SF, close to Seattle, etc. But compared to Vancouver in 2009, one big change that totally ruined it for me: Absolute zombie apocalypse of drug addicts and shouting/violent home less people. It was shockingly bad. The locals often visibly carry naxalone (anti-overdose medicine, I learned) because there are so many people overdosing in the street. Police were n

The scores are misleading and do not represent the reality of Medellin. Internet is super fast in most places and it's very safe (the murder rate is 15 for 100,000 which is well below most US cities).

A walking stereotype. Overcrowded, messy, expensive. Literally nothing works. There are more USA people than in Lisbon, which I thought was impossible. Yes, Italians are awesome and food is great.

I give the city a 6.5/10. Pro: - Walkable - Good selection of accomodation in relatively cheap in popular places - Great weekend trips nearby like Huacachina and Canta - Peruvian food is great - Great internet Cons: - More expensive than other places in Latin America except lunch. - Service in bars is much slower here than Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Mexico and Brazil. - A lot of honking with cars. - You can some times feel a bit limited to only Peruvian food and Chinese. Unfortunately this was supposed to be the best economy in LATAM but what I found instead was a very over priced for what you get experience. People are rude in general, until you get to meet them personally, and the country is way behind in infrastructure, innovation and culture that most countries around it. Not worth your time and money at all.

Bologna is considered one of the best cities in Italy. The city doesn't hold any world-famous monument as it could be Pisa's tower, but has one of the oldest universities in the world (with much of it converted to a museum), is home to the best and well known meals (lasagna, mortadella, tortellini, just to mention few), is home to so many famous people that I cannot even count, has the headquarters of the gay association (with one of the nicest night clubs in the city), there are almost 16000 st

Very expensive to live in. Boring, I don't mind the weather so much but I agree with previous reviews about people here having poor social skills and making friends with the locals is VERY hard. This has been confirmed by my other expat friends from US and Europe who lived here for a bit. People overall are very serious and in a group setting things like real estate and social justice/ equality are normally main topics of the conversation. Very little culture in terms of art, museums, history et

Welcome to the city of main characters. New Yorkers can be incredibly friendly, we're quick to invite you into our places and plans and most of us enjoy a revolving circle of not-so-close friends and a little core group of people. New York makes it easy to do the best work of your life and have fun all night in between. Everything is a tap away. Nightlife can be fun, but the real underground parties have all progressively moved out to no-mans-land in Ridgewood and Bushwick (semi-convenient only

Very nice city, but as everyone says, a bit boring after awhile. It's comfortable and feels like the suburbs, with conveniences that you don't always find in SE Asian countries. Luxury shopping malls, excellent hospitals, and infrastructure, are all things that are not as common in other SE Asian countries, (although Bangkok, TH, has good malls and hospitals). KLCC is safe, from a solo female traveler, if you're careful. I stayed in the KLCC area and was advised by other KL nomads, to stay ins
