This is an algorithmic recommendation based on @jeancarlo's trips history to find places they haven't been to yet that other people with similar travels as them also went and liked.

Good: - Great local food - Portuguese people are amazingly friendly - Vibrant DN community. It's like the city has been overtaken by remote workers. You will see everyone working on their laptop everywhere you go. - Amazing views whenever you want; you can just get a beer and climb to one of the viewpoints to see the sunset. Easy and magical. - Super cheap Ubers, easy subway Bad: - Housing prices. I'm not kidding, it's the worst I've ever seen. Ultra overpriced. I guess that's the problem when

I guess if you're a nomad this doesn't matter much, but the long-term job pickings here are slim and among the most underpaid for a US city. There seems to be a tacit rent floor that means you won't find a good deal on housing. A lot of people don't seem very invested in their interpersonal relationships here since their ties to the area are often transient.

I cannot help but agree with the review from the person before me. I'm finishing my 3 weeks trip here, and something feels off. Like that person put it rightly, everything is for sale, and nothing has value. There is no soul to this city and its people, locals or otherwise. Something is wrong here.

Playa Del Carmen is a super touristy beach town and the catch is, the beach is always full of seaweed, so if you expect to swim in it, have fun. I stayed there for 5 months and only remember the beach being clear 2-3 times. The seaweed stinks so that means the beach stinks. You have to go out of the tourist areas if you want to find some good food for a reasonable price or it's like you never left your home country. The police are very corrupt and known to rob tourists walking home from the b

Like everywhere, Singapore has pros and cons. // Pros: // Everything works very well, it's clean, you can use the trains and transport system with a bank card, Grab taxis are efficient and safe, the airport is amazing // Everyone speaks English // Population seems well educated and cosmopolitan // There are lots of parks and green spaces. // Cons: // It's very expensive. For what you get it feels overpriced compared to most Western countries for example. // It's hot and very, very humid. Unti

I really enjoyed my first week here, but as I got to know more locals and heard their stories, I was disturbed at the security situation. Almost everyone I met has horror stories about being robbed at gunpoint, robbed by the police, and in one case even drugged and robbed by a taxi driver. It's not even safe to walk a short distance at night (locals told me to just take Uber). Beyond the security issues, scams also abound, and the covid policy is wacky, with hand sanitizer being forced on you ev

Berlin is overall a great city to be. Food is cheap and everywhere, easy to go out and have fun/meet for business. Rent has crept up but still far better value than where I came from. Internet: 36 EUR/month get me 450/40 mbps (cable -> DOCSIS 3.0) Public transport is 2.70 EUR/ticket. No woman I know has said they felt unsafe. Some really odd, xenophobic sounding comments on here. Biggest downsides IMO: service quality at restaurants - not that people are rude, but they don't seem to particular

Lived here for about 3 months as a female. The climate is amazing as it is the City of Eternal Spring. Very reasonable prices everywhere. I stayed in Poblado, but about a 25 minute walk from all the action of Poblado. Walking on the main roads during the day was fine. The local people are amazingly nice. However, once night falls, you have to be careful here. Do not walk on quiet streets. Leave your valuables at home and do not ever show your mobile phone outside on the street. Use an Uber at ni

Amazing city and underrated so far. But it'll become very popular at some point so take a chance to visit now. Amazing people, great and unique food, incredible nature, one f the biggest visa permits (365 days). On top of that you can open the company and pay 1% income tax as a freelancer.

Chiang Mai used to be N.1 for the digital nomad life. It is still great and you can find really cheap apartments (300-400$) and restaurants (2-3$ for a main). Wouldn't recommend staying there during the burning season. The best area is Nimman, but it's also the most expensive. You can stay in the old city that's very nice but that gets noisy during the weekend for the night markets. Last but not least, very safe city. All in all would go back in a heartbeat.

I love Bulgaria, but Sofia wasn't my favorite part by far. It is quite an ugly city, mostly flat and grey in color. There are some decent hostel, decent bars and nightlife, but not really much for the tourist to do. Yes, the women are very attractive, and it's cheap to rent there... but why would you want to? I had a great time down on Varna, and along the coast of the black sea. Sofia is worth a visit or a place to stay a few weeks, but I wouldn't want to live there personally.

Amazing, large and accessible beaches. But the vibe is not there yet. It still feels like an "old" vacation place: tons of families, retirees, couples and sex tourists. The hip, young crowd you can find in Canggu for example is not there yet. There is only one decent coworking spot, not a lot of specialty cofee places. Most DNs stay in Rawai, which is OK - just a long street in a non-swimming beach. If you live there you will have to drive 15mins to go to the beach (Nai Han, Kata, etc). The infr

Beautiful island. For me it hits a sweet spot combining some of Canggu and Ubud. There's good stuff like breath work and ecstatic dance close by but you don't have to scooter a whole hour to get there. It's not too hippy and you can easily avoid that vibe if you're not into it. The mountainous landscape makes for some lovely scootering - so nice that I've taken a few rides just for the pleasure of it. The bigger roads are lit at night and pretty good, not much traffic. Compared to Bali many re

Didn't plan to come to Zagreb, and so had no expectations. Turned out to be a lovely, liveable city, so much so that I extended my stay by several weeks! Contrary to some of the comments from a year ago, it is now very vegan friendly, cards are universally accepted, steady WiFi si abundant, and many other people are working from coffee shops. The city is very walkable, and more affordable than Split or Dubrovnik.

The places to rent are not very good. Poor design and low quality furniture. You won't find one that comes with a good desk and chair. Most of them don't have a good place to put one even if you bring your own. Hard water is common and unpleasant. Can't walk around due to small roads, traffic, sometimes unfriendly stray dogs. It does have good restaurants, lots of variety from many international cuisines. Not that great for Indonesian food though. Probably better for a short visit rather than

Bansko is a special place. You can get everything in this one little town and it is pretty unique being a coworking town in the country side. Several coworkings which all expanded (4), coliving options now starting. Several gyms, restaurants, bars with great food at low prices, lots of activities. I liked nature, the mountains, lots of hiking, skiing in winter if you do that. If you don't ski, you can swim in the many hot spring public pool places and you can always go for walks or to the gym

Loved Miraflores in Lima - has a lot of stylish cafes and restaurants with good food, coworkings, parks. Barranco has some amazing nightclubs. Although Lima is more expensive than other parts of Peru

Ao Nang is a Good Hub for jumping into other beaches and islands. A few services are available for everyday use ( restaurants, bars, laundry, markets, shops, etc ). Still, I consider it quite underdevelop. Internet connectivity was quite intermittent on the two places I stayed. Also, not many places to get work done! I always worked from my villa room. Highly suggest staying by Nopparatthara beach rather than Ao Nang side. No many nomads in here aswell
