One of the best cities in Europe. Though location makes a big difference in Istanbul. Besikatas, Nişantaşı, and Karakoy are parts that I enjoyed. They are safe and have nice vibe and energy. Big city, but not too hectic. I've met a lot of friendly Turkish people there and had good conversations. The food is good and relatively cheap. Outside of the good areas you will find lots of scams, people will try you everyday. Though its not violent, you can always just walk away.

I only stayed for 3 weeks cause the life is kind of boring compared to Tokyo or Osaka. It helps a lot if you speak some korean since not many people speak english and most restaurants don't have english menu. The internet is fast but the public transportation is always crowded.

Stayed for 2 weeks after almost a year n a half in LatAm. Beautiful city; great food options- especially for Asian food lovers. I've been hanging out in Berlin on and off for 30 years. It is very safe for women. It is much friendlier than it used to be. There are loads of vegan restaurants now. The nightlife and specially jazz clubs are amazing! I have an excellent apartment to rent out in Wedding - which used to have a boring reputation but now is very cool.

The scores are misleading and do not represent the reality of Medellin. Internet is super fast in most places and it's very safe (the murder rate is 15 for 100,000 which is well below most US cities).

Hong Kong is a great city with dense urban areas but also nature and hiking routes only 15 minutes away. There are restaurants for every taste and budget, from the best US fast casual chains to high end Michelin star restaurants. It's also extremely safe, despite recent political instability.

7 years ago Lisbon was amazing. Since it became trendy lost what made it unique. I will return when the hype is gone!

Tokyo has so much to offer and so much to do. It is easily overwhelming. Whereas I usually take my first week to explore a place Tokyo’s sights just kept on going. This guide is UTTERLY WRONG. $3.300 per month!? You can rent a room as cheap as 200€ (erasmus rooms), 1beer costs usually under 2€ and has a free 'Tapa' - normally when I go out, with 5€ I've eaten and drank enough. Coworkings cost somewhere from 70-120€ depending if part time or full time. Then you can go almost anywhere around walking, and by bus to the mountains. Compared to Berlin, the Internet is much faster and cheaper. Simyo has 20€ prepaid cards that give you 60GB data x month.

A walking stereotype. Overcrowded, messy, expensive. Literally nothing works. There are more USA people than in Lisbon, which I thought was impossible. Yes, Italians are awesome and food is great.

I don’t recommend living here full time. The summers are unbearably hot and humid and you have to drive 1+ hours to the closest beach. Actually, you have to drive everywhere because everything is a 20+ min drive. Traffic is terrible and everything is under construction. There are lots of bugs, mosquitos, gators, roaches, etc… You can be here for months and not do all the different entertainment, restaurants, experiences the Orlando area has to offer. Spent about 5 days in here. The city is quite nice and calm, surrounded by nature and tall hills. There is a really nice river embankment in the city where you can walk around or run. Take in mind that almost all the shops are completely closed on Sundays, which is still very unusual to me. Augustiner bräu is a really atmospheric bar which can recommend to visit, and Hangar-7 museum from Red Bull which is free to check out is also quite nice.
