Made a more permanent home this time around. Rented a house near Cerro de la Cruz, got fresh food at the market every week, integrated with the locals as I was dating an Antigueno the duration of my time. Truly felt at home and now have lots of local and insider information. Took several day trips to Guatemala City, Lago Atitlan (must go see Maximon if you go!), Hobbitenango, Monterrico and Tikal and Flores. |

The city of 4 levels from hilltops to underground the roads that wind around in and between buildings and mountains are magical. The city feels colonial and this was probably my favorite city ever to get lost in. There is something unexpected behind every turn. How the mailman gets to some of the houses still perplexes me. Took some day trips to Dolores Hidalgo and San Miguel de Allende. This region is very historically important to Mexico and definitely worth a trip for history buffs. |

Beautiful city, I studied abroad here back in 2013 at UT Austinยดs Casa Herrera learning Maya archeology and Spanish Colonial history. Went to Monterrico a black sand beach on the Pacific coast as well several fincas and coffee farms in the surrounding valley. |

One of the best cities in Europe. Though location makes a big difference in Istanbul. Besikatas, Niลantaลฤฑ, and Karakoy are parts that I enjoyed. They are safe and have nice vibe and energy. Big city, but not too hectic. I've met a lot of friendly Turkish people there and had good conversations. The food is good and relatively cheap. Outside of the good areas you will find lots of scams, people will try you everyday. Though its not violent, you can always just walk away.

Stayed for 2 weeks after almost a year n a half in LatAm. Beautiful city; great food options- especially for Asian food lovers. Plenty of authentic Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese options for about 50% of what you would pay in a Western city. Decent hostels will cost $11-$15 weekdays and between $18-$30 on weekends.... Lived in Prague for 8 years. It's a beautiful international European city. Never learned Czech, but was fine. Almost all cafes and restaurants have English menus. Superb food delivery apps (Wolt is the best). All the food you can imagine. Vietnamese food is world-class because of the huge Vietnamese population. I stayed in Poblenou, which is a really chill upcoming area outside of the tourism of Barcelona. Really enjoyed it. Very tranquil. People were relatively friendly compared to most in Europe and there was lots of nice food and coffee places. Also pretty okay gyms. Really enjoyed Barcelona this time! Just make sure you stay outside the tourist areas.

All in, Austin is a good city. We live in Hill Country now so we're a bit removed. But it's beautiful area once you get away from the highways. A good tech scene. Not too expensive (~$2100 for a nice 2 bedroom apt) for the U.S. Has wineries and breweries galore. Not a great place if you are a recovering alcoholic (!). Cons: extremely hot in the summer; reaches 110 F (43.3 C) in summer afternoons from June - September. Not very diverse. Highways are loud and obnoxious.

A top city. Everything works, beautiful greenery (hehe), cycling everywhere, happy people, great nightlife... Lots to love about. For nomads? Not a chance. Price of housing is outrageous, and the city is expensive af. They charge you 4.5-5 eur for a capuccino, completely shameless. An hour of public transport is 3 euros. I could go on and on. I'd love to live there, but it's not worth it.

This city is incredible. Now I understand why Parisians look down on other cities. It is endless. Museums, history, cool bars, incredible food, diversity, beautiful people nicely dressed... It helps a lot to speak French. It's expensive. I'd love to nomad here for a month or two. I really liked Marais as an area.

Seattle is a great city, especially if you like nature, there are plenty of outdoor activities to do all year round. People are generally open-minded and friendly. The cost of living is high but it allows you to be able to afford other places on earth easily if you can find a job here. You can also find plenty of good restaurants and arts around in the city. I recommend to stay at least 3-6 months to get the feel of living a PNW life.

Completely disagree with reviews saying it is unsafe for women. Moved here on my own to live for a few months and have felt completely safe however it is extremely expensive, you pay for the beautiful surroundings and unique one off stores, resturants and experiences.

Just spent almost two weeks here after a two week stay in SMA. This is a very pretty town, but 2 weeks is too long (3 days max if you just want to vacation). There are many many steps and hills, so walking is the best way to get around. I felt safe in the tourist areas, but with many narrow passageways, be careful if you are alone. There is a lot of dogs barking at all hours that echo due to this area being a valley. There is very little green space. Also, not sure if there was some recent

San Cris is actually dangerous and getting more dangerous, so know that if you go there. Of course, nomads in their bubbles will rarely see it but do a simple google search of news related, there's been a huge uptick in violence over the past few years. I experienced it while living there. Personally really wouldn't recommend to people unless you like the idea of being in a city that is going to eventually become a warzone
