Cool city with lots of fun places to go out, very nice restaurants and quite an international environment. I went there twice already and in winter it's horribly cold, while in summer it's super hot. Definitely recommend going there in Spring/Autumn. The castle is nice and Danube riverside is great too, you'll get lots of things to do. Can recommend Nomad Traveller's Bar and there daily pubcrawl! Also, to all fellow vegans, the food scene is great. Lot's of places order vegan options and if you

All in, Austin is a good city. We live in Hill Country now so we're a bit removed. But it's beautiful area once you get away from the highways. A good tech scene. Not too expensive (~$2100 for a nice 2 bedroom apt) for the U.S. Has wineries and breweries galore. Not a great place if you are a recovering alcoholic (!). Cons: extremely hot in the summer; reaches 110 F (43.3 C) in summer afternoons from June - September. Not very diverse. Highways are loud and obnoxious.

I must be alone on this one; but I did 2 weeks in CDMX and it wasn't great for me. First of all, it was CHILLY in the mornings and at night (late August - Early Sept). And to stay in the nicer and convenient neighborhoods, which you kind of have to in CDMX or you will be bothered, the airbnbs were pricey, and nearby restaurants too. Sidewalks very small and cramped. The vendors and police were a bit aggressive here. The nightlife was a bit dull to me, limited to just a few places. The green park

Favorite city in the entire world and honestly people who prefer Barcelona to it just simply did not do Madrid right. This city has everything you could possibly want in a city (besides a beach of course). So safe, amazing transportation all over the city and country, amazing location to travel easily and cheaply to the rest of Europe. Restaurant and nightlife scenes are unparalleled as someone else said in another comment. Did you know Madrid has more bars per capita than anywhere in the world?

Split is a very pleasant town. You have Roman ruins, clear Adriatic waters, ferries to Hvar and other islands. Places to stay are affordable, food is medium priced. Seattle is a great city, especially if you like nature, there are plenty of outdoor activities to do all year round. People are generally open-minded and friendly. The cost of living is high but it allows you to be able to afford other places on earth easily if you can find a job here. You can also find plenty of good restaurants and arts around in the city. I recommend to stay at least 3-6 months to get the feel of living a PNW life.
