I studied here. Old town is too busy with tourists to live in for my tase, but there are plenty of districts to choose from. Accommodation is cheap, and you can get mobile data plan in every convenience store. It's also quite safe - local girls aren't afraid to walk alone after dawn. Just don't bother drunk people in front of the bar and you will be fine. Also if you didn't take some 1-2 day tours to nearby places you're missing out: Wieliczka, Energylandia, Zakopane, Auschwitz. Air quality and

Gdansk is a city in northern Poland and the capital of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, with a population of 464,113 (December 2013). It is the 16th most populous city in the European Union, with a population of 740,918 (2011). Gdaล„sk is the largest city of the Kashubian region. It is the historic capital of Gdaล„sk Pomerania. Cool city with lots of fun places to go out, very nice restaurants and quite an international environment. I went there twice already and in winter it's horribly cold, while in summer it's super hot. Definitely recommend going there in Spring/Autumn. The castle is nice and Danube riverside is great too, you'll get lots of things to do. Can recommend Nomad Traveller's Bar and there daily pubcrawl! Also, to all fellow vegans, the food scene is great. Lot's of places order vegan options and if you

  • Tenerife

I spent an amazing 2.5 months in Tenerife during COVID times from April to June of 2021. One of the best decisions of my life. The island has so much to offer; dramatic nature hikes, good food, excellent weather, fun parties/raves (yes, even during covid times), water sports, beaches, etc. The general vibe is very chill and it's easy to talk with both locals and tourists. Everyone is simply having a good time. Thereยดs a reason this island is so popular among tourists. At the same time, the is

  • Porto

I have been living in Porto since September. Portugal is currently in a hard covid lockdown so Porto is not at its best. But in better times the city is amazing. Beautiful, right near the beach, with excellent air and rail connectivity. English is widely spoken and the accommodations for visitors are diverse and excellent. Restaurants are also diverse and excellent. Prices for those used to northern Europe or USA will seem low. December, January are very rainy and can get cold, down to nearly 0

  • San Francisco

I've been living in SF since 2014 and I have to say Cost of Living is misrepresented. It's a lot more expensive now (2020) than posted. 1-bdr in center is $3,500-$4,000 + $200-$300 for parking + $100-$200 for utilities. Almost impossible to find month-to-month rent, so this is for 1-year lease. Coffee for two + a pastry is easily $20. Dinner for two never less than $50, unless it's fast food (+20% tips are expected) and if you want actually something good it's at least $100 for two. Airbnb is $1

  • Lviv

The center around Rynok Square was awesome with scenic views, street performers, interesting and creative restaurants, places to grab a beer/wine, coffee shops, pedestrian areas, etc. During the school year one out of five people in Lviv are students and so it definitely has a college town vibe. Personally I think it's Ukraine's best city and I found the cost of living value ratio to be superb. The co-working space I went to (iHub) had a good mix of locals and foreign digital nomads.

I was in Burgas in June 2018. Stayed there like 2 days, which for most of you guys wouldn't be enough to establish if it's worthy or not. Cheap city with a nice old town, the sea side is really clean + the food/drinks and other services are quite affordable. Do not know exactly if this will match with the NOMADS for a long timeframe, but I am positive about the time spent over there and would return for a longer period.
