What can I say? NYC has everything you can think of. Realy good music scene, this is where it's going on. Especially enjoyed Producer Monday Jams in Nublu. Starts late on a week night, but it's worth it. Best young hip-hop/rnb musicians IN-THE-WORLD. NYC is extremely expensive. And generally, people are minding they're own business... not as easy going and open to connections as other places. But then again, you can find anything and anyone in NYC :) |

New Orleans is FANTASTIC! One of my favorite cities. A must for musicians. Frenchmen Street is always kicking with awesome live music of all styles, but mostly in the New Orleans traditions of Dixieland Jazz, Funk, RnB, etc . Brass bands are HOT! People playing on the streets and having a party! |

Crazy city! Loved it! Live music everywhere (a lot of country and southern rock, but other stuff as well). Definitley in the top 5 cities for musicians to visit! Every other person is a musician, and they all wanna jam and hang out. Tons of tourists passing by mostly to party, so it's an advantage and disadvantage I guess |

As a local living in Buenos Aires, renting a one bedroom apartment by myself, working from home and being very frugal (I don't dine out, I don't get take-out, I don't travel), I spend around USD 800 a month. If I buy myself something like a new bag or pair of jeans that number goes up by at least USD 100 (current value of USD 1 is ARS 1400). The cost of living for a local is severely outdated. Budapest was on my list about cities for living. I stayed for 7 days and was a little disappointed People are not very friendly, lots os places very dirty, people smoke a lot and the costs isn't affordable as people indicated here. Its a beautiful place, walkable, people have a good level of education, lots of things to do, but not as i imagined. Even so its a nice place.

It used to be a nice city for nomads, but its out-priced now and don't recommend it. I am a single female- remote worker from USA with residence permit of 2 years and have to say its not what it used to be. Stormy tropical weather as we speak so unpredictable these days. Nice place to live, but for travel not sure. Things are very expensive if you want to stay in a hotel and eat out most of the time. Price for cafe is not that crazy but still not the reasonable. Not many fun places to go as a traveler. But if you have a place you can cook by yourself, have some friends to hang out, and enjoy simple and quite lifestyle, then I do recommend to come Stockholm. I'm enjoying a peaceful and calm daily life here!

I grew up in Chicago and still return fairly often. I love the character of the different neighborhoods, the variety of architectural styles, and as others have said, the food scene is incredible. It's easy to make friends in the suburbs, perhaps not so much in the city itself. The town has been taken over by tourists. Local music venues that have been around for 50+ years are closing because they can't afford the rent hikes. Difficult to find places to work in the evenings if you work for a western company. Hard to find a good quality restaurant, Google reviews are very inflated here.

I was here for around a month in 2022. From what I could tell, the Dorcol neighborhood was the best. If you're into techno, there are fun parties to be had away from the tourist traps on the river. But overall I don't see the point of staying here long term. Neighboring Sarajevo was a lot more livable in my opinion, although not as much nightlife.
