Travelling with my ukrainian girlfriend to Kiev (Ukraine), but we missed the overnight train (our train was super late due to war and cold conditions). Not sure, but there were airstrikes in ALL the regions of the train route, so at 4:00 we decided to leave the train and just sleep some hours in a random hotel, and doing the next 8hrs of train ride the next day.

Heading to a little surfer village named Kremasti on the island of Rhodos to meet some very nice people here. Again with a massive ferry, and the car with me. No rooms available, so sleeping on the floor, next to TVs running 24/7 and weird people haha. The trip was planned for 2 weeks, but i liked it so much that is become 6 weeks (maybe even more haha).

Overnight ferry with the car from Brindisi (Italy) to Igoumenita (Greece). Crazy as always. I took a real room with a real bed for the first time, it was so cozy and cute (and expensive). Reaching Greece early in the morning. Crazy feeling to drive through Greece, next goal: Athens. At 11:00 i park next to a bay in the middle of nowwhere to have a Zoom meeting ;)

Arriving in Milano with my car at 5 o clock in the morning. 3hrs of sleep. Then quickly packing all my stuff, throwing it into the car, while the early Monday morning sun is already burning. Leaving Milano at 10:00. What a great time here, sad to leave. Next goal: Rome, then Brindisi, then ferry to Athens.

"Accidential resident" of Milano ;) My car broke down in the middle of the city on Easter Sunday, now I'm stuck here (waiting for repair), and IT'S AWESOME! It was planned as 3 days stay, but oh dear I'm in love with this town. Planning to stay for 1 month now, maybe even 40 years.

I wanted to comment on the low 'walkability' score because this is completely inaccurate - I lived in Erlangen for 4-1/2 years and never owned a car. I walked a lot around town, and it was perfectly safe. There are even some pedestrian zones with no traffic. Erlangen should have a really high score in this category- it's not exactly a big town where getting around on foot just isn't reasonable. You can alternatively ride a bike pretty much anywhere. The center around Rynok Square was awesome with scenic views, street performers, interesting and creative restaurants, places to grab a beer/wine, coffee shops, pedestrian areas, etc. During the school year one out of five people in Lviv are students and so it definitely has a college town vibe. Personally I think it's Ukraine's best city and I found the cost of living value ratio to be superb. The co-working space I went to (iHub) had a good mix of locals and foreign digital nomads.

Kyiv is a seriously not a good place for nomads to stay in. People don't speak english and are not friendly to foreigners at all, either you're white, asian, black, arab, latino, whatever. Food isn't really good specially when it comes to delivery, expensive and tasteless. The metro is cheap which is a good thing, and there is a nice architecture and places to go to.
