If you have money, stay in Lomas. That's it. The other areas of the city which every Samantha, Bryan, and pink-haired person named Leaf have mentioned are all worth visiting and enjoying, but just stay in Lomas. Quiet, less population, no dust, and most importantly, you can avoid the broke Americans from Bushwick or WeHo who eat at Orinoco every night to save money.

Really hard to get a decent price for accomodation. Prices are riddiculous as for Indonesian standards and how much locals earn. New restaurants and buildings popping up taking away rice fields. More and more traffic jams and congestion. Too much influencers vs. too little vibe of authentic Balinese culture.

Just arrived in KL, we are 30/35yrs+, a married couple and digital nomads, and wow.. What a city! This is the New York City of Asia. These appartments are epic. Grand views, very affordable, luxurious! You would pay 10-fold for the same deal in NYC or Tokyo or Dubai. And the food is fantastic. Indian, Malay, Indo, Chinese, American, European. The world is here!

I really liked Chiang Mai but I can't put my finger on why. I'll try to remain unbiased so here goes. Chiang Mai is a dirty place with horrible pollution levels. English speaking is okay. I did really enjoy a balance of simple, risk-free living at low cost and acceptable quality of living. Many places only accept cash but plenty accept card. I just wanna give my opinion about Porto for future residents the best areas in Porto is Near Castelo do Queijo, ( Parish nevogilde) Boavista and Foz near beaches if you wanna live with quality of life in Porto.

I liked Ho Chi Minh City a lot. It has all of the convivences one could expect from the city except for an MRT system which as of September 2022, they are in the middle of building one anyway. Stayed for 2 weeks after almost a year n a half in LatAm. Beautiful city; great food options- especially for Asian food lovers. Plenty of authentic Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese options for about 50% of what you would pay in a Western city. Decent hostels will cost $11-$15 weekdays and between $18-$30 on weekends.... I've been in Phuket for about a month now. Most of that time I've spent in Ka Ron and Kata beach area, but also have been to Chalong, Pa Tong, Rawai, and Kathu.
