Most Walkable Neighborhood / City In The World ?

by @dannybooboo  | 1 comment

I love living in walkable areas of town. I can always find them. But now I'm wondering where in the world are the most walkable places? I'm imagining walk streets (no cars), zoning allowing both business and residential, parks or beaches ,etc.

How do we mark the places we have lived on the map?

by @ankitdas123  | 13 comments

Hey guys,

In the past 10 years, I have visited many towns and villages across India, however except on Facebook, there is no other way to look back and see on one map - where all you have been to and also how many times.

Since its a part of the nomadic lifestyle as well, I am assuming a couple of you might have put things on a map. How and what service do you use? I would prefer Google Maps, however I am not sure how to put things on that and specially how to mark whether you have visited twice or thrice?

If possible, kindly share Free tools or services.

What do you do to avoid plastic bottled water in Asia?

by @nomadaccountant  | 18 comments

If I stay somewhere for a while I usually get hard bottled bulk water containers, but often I have to rely on cheap plastic water bottles, which isnโ€™t good from both a health and environmental perspective. Have used a drink bottle with a filter but canโ€™t say I trusted it, and it was a little annoying. Any better options in use?

Sofia is a small city and it is very polluted. In fact it is one of the most polluted cities in Europe. The restaurants and bars are ok. For the rest there is not a lot to do. After a couple of days you have seen it all. The people are ok but Sofia misses an international vibe. Lets be honest here, you mostly get where you pay for.

Putrajaya is the only place I would recommend due to its close proximity to the airport. The Shaftsbury Hotel is modern with two convenience stores, pharmacy, restaurants, dental, and more in the actual building. There is a rain fountain in "mall" of the building that would be Putrajaya's attempt at Singapore's airport one. The location is also literally right across from the bigger mall that has restaurants, international grocery store, movie theater, bowling, electronics, etc. It's a safe a

I've been here for the last 5 months. People are extremely friendly, the weather has been amazing (on the too hot side, during the summer). You can drink tap water, Nomadlist, check that. It is very cheap, walkable, plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants. It is very safe. The gym scene is not great but you can survive. Bansko is much overrated. In summertime it feels like a ghost town in the residential apartments. The center is quite animated but it is not very expatfriendly. I did not see any digital nomad scenes. Not heard any other language than Bulgarian around. It is more a family oriented national village. Big supermarkets closed in summertime so you take a taxi to shop outside the town. I can imagine that in wintertime there is much more activity but avoid summertime, unless you want to be quite and en

Pros: - Very convenient, safe and clean. - Lots of modern, futuristic buildings. Only thing to add is that in general Saigon has terrible walkability. I love Saigon, lived there for 3 years. But motorbikes are always parked on the sidewalks so you constantly have to step onto the road which is a little hair raising. And if it's not motorbikes then there are restaurant tables scattered across the pavement. Plus the pavement is almost always cracked. I'm a pretty chill person. But going for a random walk in Saigon always leaves me kind of irritated after a while. Of course the

It's a nice city on the whole. In summertime you get a lot of tourists from Ukraine, and also other countries. The cost of living is reasonable, a standard meal in a decent restaurant will cost you about 200uah. Internet is fast and good quality, currently you can get a 4g data sim with unlimited data from Kievstar for 100uah for a month. Accommodation can be hard to come by and expensive during the summer months. It's largely safe, but Odessa is historically a criminal city, but most of that cr
