Canggu is one of my favourite places in the world to work from due to the community, good food and warm weather.

Early January 2022- Canggu is one of the world's great foodie paradises. Really. You won't find this kind of variety outside a major city (like Manhattan in NYC, Montreal, London, Paris, etc)... but what Canggu has over all these places is that it is SO CONCENTRATED that you can, if you wish, walk between hundreds of them (a scooter is sometimes nicer)... I actually DID it. After over 20 local Google reviews (and counting), I can say if you're wanting vegetarian, vegan, carnivore, halal, Jain,

  • Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai used to be N.1 for the digital nomad life. It is still great and you can find really cheap apartments (300-400$) and restaurants (2-3$ for a main). Wouldn't recommend staying there during the burning season. The best area is Nimman, but it's also the most expensive. You can stay in the old city that's very nice but that gets noisy during the weekend for the night markets. Last but not least, very safe city. All in all would go back in a heartbeat.

Putrajaya is the only place I would recommend due to its close proximity to the airport. The Shaftsbury Hotel is modern with two convenience stores, pharmacy, restaurants, dental, and more in the actual building. There is a rain fountain in "mall" of the building that would be Putrajaya's attempt at Singapore's airport one. The location is also literally right across from the bigger mall that has restaurants, international grocery store, movie theater, bowling, electronics, etc. It's a safe a

Let's make it short again: (1,5 years living experience in Da Nang) Da Nang is Chiang Mai with a Beach without the annoying nomad scenes. -Most foreigners are English teachers or retired Australians. If you don't like it, mix up with locals. 90% of my friends are Vietnamese. -Be careful with Constructions at the Beach Side. If you want a quiet life go to Son Tra. If you want more Action go to An Thuong Area. If you want local experience go behind the bridge - Nightlife growing and enough Opti

I stayed here for 4 months. Very beautiful city, vibrant, lots of things to do and moving around is so easy compared to other "big" capitals. 100% agree with other comments about Hungarians: very stern, unfriendly people. The hospitality workers in restaurants, bars & clubs are mostly horrendous. It's like they don't want to serve you, and it's you who has to make the effort or should be grateful to be eating there. It makes zero sense, I've never seen that in any other place in the world. Bounc

I don't know why some people here are so negative about Lisboa. It's far from the level the level of dirt as described. Only the area of barrio alto and pink street have some dealers, but they don't bother you and aren't aggressive. Lack of heating is something I have heard, however should be easy enough to buy a radiator. Besides Lisboa doesn't really get that cold, compared to other European cities. The climate is very pleasant for most of the year. A real con would be that the historic centr

We play hopscotch with the dog turds on the streets and sidewalks. Ericeira is amazing, and beautiful, our favorite place, but they need more grassy patches for dogs, with baggies and trash. They also need a cleanup crew like in downtown Lisbon to wash the poo and poo streaks off the cobblestone. It's very dangerous to walk your own shoes into your home, especially if you have kids who will then contract flesh-eating bacterias from feces, such as Staphylococcus Aureus. I was in Las Palmas for three months during spring. I volunteered in an hostel and there were many people working online. The Canaries offer great options for short trips to the other islands, that are all very distinct and also on Gran Canaria itself there is a lot to do! You can reach many places with a bus, but at times it is much easier to share a car, especially to get into the mountains! Really liked the city bikes, too!

Don't know why this city is ranked so high. It was super desolate and weird. There are some nicer parts, like Rufazza, but the outskirts are dead. Not much to do and only a few really nice streets. Tons of graffiti, and not even good graffiti lol.
